Walk With These Children - PHOFF programs in the Philippines

Our Programs

Three programs working together to give orphaned and vulnerable children in the Philippines what every child deserves: a home, an education, and a future.

"Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me." - Matthew 25:40

Homes for Hope

Purpose

Homes for Hope provide family-style care for orphaned and abandoned children. Instead of large, impersonal orphanages, PHOFF creates homes where 12-20 children live like siblings under the care of trained "House Parents." This approach promotes early childhood development and puts family first.

How It Works

We secure modest houses in safe neighborhoods and upgrade them for child safety—adding secure fencing, child-sized beds, study tables, play areas, and community gardens. Children attend local schools, return home for communal meals, complete homework, and participate in prayers and recreational activities.

House Parents create a nurturing family environment while also serving the local community. They perform neighborhood cleaning, sanitation, and basic repairs, and operate small market stalls selling affordable essentials grown or made by PHOFF programs. This helps identify at-risk children early and builds trust within the community.

Key Components:

  • • Family-style home environment
  • • Trained House Parents
  • • Community market stalls
  • • Social worker support
  • • Family reunification efforts
  • • Local church partnerships

How Church Support Helps

Your partnership provides ongoing operational support—food, utilities, home maintenance, House Parent salaries, and expansion to serve more children. Monthly support allows us to open additional homes and create more family environments for vulnerable children.

Pathway Schools & Skills for Life

• Initiative Seeking Funding

Purpose

The Pathway Schools will offer flexible, child-centered education for orphans and out-of-school youth. We will emphasize literacy, numeracy, science, and values formation, while the Skills for Life component will provide vocational training and entrepreneurship that creates lasting economic opportunity.

The Vision

Children will learn to read and write in their own languages alongside English. Students will receive hands-on training in practical skills—cleaning, construction, maintenance, water management, hydroponic farming, and nutrition. Classes will run in small cohorts with individual support.

The Skills for Life program will teach tailoring, carpentry, computing, agriculture, cooking, and financial literacy. Partnerships with technical schools and local businesses will enable apprenticeships and job placement. Each student will have a mentor who helps set goals and build resilience.

Future Farms

Futures Farms & Villages

• Initiative Seeking Funding

Purpose

Futures Farms & Villages will create sustainable food sources and livelihoods. We will teach youth modern agriculture, provide jobs to caregivers, and build resilience in communities. The long-term goal is to establish Futures Villages—self-sufficient communities where graduates of PHOFF's programs can live and work.

The Vision

PHOFF will secure land to establish organic gardens and small livestock operations. Some farms will include family homes where House Parents live with orphans. Volunteers from churches worldwide will visit to teach skills and foster cultural exchange.

Youth will learn sustainable agriculture, marketing, and agripreneurship, managing planting schedules, budgets, and distribution. Produce will go to Homes for Hope, market stalls, and the local community. As farms succeed, we'll construct additional housing units—Futures Villages—where former orphans and low-income families live cooperatively, run farms, and share profits.

Planned Features:

  • grass Organic farming practices
  • engineering Youth vocational training
  • cottage Cooperative villages
  • store Market linkages
  • water_drop Rainwater harvesting
  • volunteer_activism Community giving (10% yield)

How Church Support Helps

Your partnership can help us secure land, purchase equipment and seeds, build infrastructure, and train agricultural managers. This initiative has the potential to create self-sustaining income that supports all our programs while teaching life-long skills.

Clean Water Foundation

The Foundation of Health

Access to clean water is essential for health, learning, and sustainable agriculture. Our water filtration systems serve our homes, school, and farms—ensuring that every initiative has the foundational resource it needs to succeed.

While clean water isn't our primary focus, it's an enabling resource that makes everything else possible. Safe drinking water reduces illness, improves school attendance, and increases agricultural productivity.
